Current Beauty Wants 01/05/2014

I have a permanent list of beauty goods that I want (need) in my life, I'm pretty sure most people do (I hope), and I thought I would share what's currently on my list! On a student budget, I'm often limited, and this list has quite a few things that won't be in my price bracket any time soon, but maybe for some of you it will be! I've split it into 5 lower priced wants, and 5 high end. Enjoy..

Lower End

  1. Can Limecrime do any wrong? With not one but two things on my top 10 want list at the moment, they're doing well. First is the Velvetine Lip Colour in 'Suedeberry'. I am a sucker for matte lips, and this looks perfect, it appears to be packed with pigment, with an easy doe foot (weird name) applicator, and this amazing neon corally pink shade looks perfect for summer! As well as this it is only £13.50 on cocktail cosmetics (link above!)
  2. The next Limecrime product, their eyeliner in 'Lunar Sea'. I know white may seem kind of unconventional, but I find it really opens up my eyes and puts a cool twist on the classic cat eye, as seen on many catwalk shows at the start of 2014 (check it out here)
  3. Urban Decay have done it again. A new release for summer 2014 is the Naked Flushed palette in 'Native'. Coming with a bronzer, blush and highlight, this would be great for chucking in your makeup bag, saving space and having 3 beautiful products all in one handy palette.
  4. Penultimately is a product from Zoeva, who are most well know for make-up brushes. This is their Sun Power Palette, and comes with 10 blushers, highlights and bronzers. This palette comes with every colour you could ever want or need, and for £14.50 what more could you ask for?
  5. Lastly are the famous 'Lip Tars' from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, known for their ultra high pigmentation and amazing colours. Costing around £12, I am lusting over the shades trollop, femme and strumpet.
High End

  1. A relatively new product and already cult favourite are the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushers. The one above is in the shade 'Ethereal Glow', and seems perfect for fair skinned girls like me, who like a light wash of colour on their cheeks. I have heard so much about these and really want to try this, but with a price tag of £28 I might have a hunt for some alternatives!
  2. Next is a lipstick from YSL, the Rouge Volupté Shine in 'Rouge in Excess' to be precise. Although I am a matte lips lover, glossy lips are in this season and I am maybe (maaaybe) in conversion to the other side! Numbers 2 & 3 on this list may have excess appeal to me due to their amazing packaging, but I'm sure I would love the product too!
  3. A similar one to no. 3, this is the YSL Rouge Volupté in 'Tender Peach'. A different finish to no.2, this colour looks perfect for s/s14 and I'm sure would look fab with a tan!
  4. Another cult favourite, no.4 is the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. I've been loving contouring my cheekbones recently, and after seeing so many Youtubers rave about this product I've decided I need it in my life, do I need any more reasoning than that?
  5. I have saved no.5 for last for a reason- the price tag. This is the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, and costs £52 for a not so huge bottle... This primer claims to lock in moisture, conceal fine lines and large pores and keep your makeup lasting all day, and I've heard this is true and more! I'm sure it is a cult favourite for this and many other reasons, but I think I'm going to be saving for this for a while...
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my current wants, let me know what's on your wishlist! Sophie x
